Xbox One is the most requested and sold console on OLX

The hunt for used consoles was a way to escape the high prices of new video games. Unfortunately, factors such as the high dollar and the chip crisis have pushed the price of consoles up too much. However, not everyone can get a new Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 out of the box. And this is where OLX comes in to cheer up players with less purchasing power.

You can buy video games at more “attractive” prices through a second-hand product buying and selling platform. Interestingly, the most demanded and best-selling console is not part of the new generation. I am talking Xbox OneReleased in 2013. Among the new generation of video games, the Xbox Series X has become much more in demand in the last month.

Example of an Xbox One ad on OLX

O The most requested console and also the best selling one was Xbox One. Interestingly, Xbox 360 (even older) is the second most requested and sold video game. Sony only appears in third position with the PlayStation 4. Nintendo Switch takes fourth place.

Speaking of Nintendo, during the month of June, the console Nintendo Wii saw a 63% increase in sales on the platform. This made it the 8th best selling video game on the list. Another video game that saw a significant increase in public interest was the Xbox Series X. Compared to the month of May, demand for Microsoft’s console increased by 38%.

When we look at the prices, we understand why. If you decide to buy a new Xbox Series X, you will have to spend around R$5000. The average price of this console on OLX is R$ 3540. That is, more or less 26% savings. The same thing happens with the PlayStation 5, which costs around R$ 3,600 on the platform. But Sony’s next-gen video game hasn’t seen that big of a sales boost.
