More details below, via Capcom:
Street Fighter 6 offers a unique combination of innovations for fighting games, including:
· Completely new game modes: The Street Fighter franchise continues to improve and redefine the fighting game genre by introducing three new major game modes – Fighting Ground, World Tour and Battle Hub.
· Narration in the game: The real-time narration feature combines the voices of FGC commentators such as Jeremy Wimus Lopez and Rutaro Aru Noda! Players will have a selection of personal staff to narrate game-by-game, with easy-to-understand gameplay explanations. This feature will also support subtitles in 13 languages for even greater availability.
· New control scheme: The classic control type is back with a new variant. The modern control type allows players to join the action with simplified control. Special movements are made easier by the combination of the button and the direction.
· New basic combat mechanics: Street Fighter 6 introduces Drive System, a new lane used to perform five different techniques to improve players’ offensive and defensive capabilities: Drive Impact, Drive Parry, Overdrive Art, Drive Rush, and Drive Reversal.
In addition to game innovations, Street Fighter 6 also mentions everything that fans love about the franchise, bringing previous title game modes to the Fighting Ground experience, including arcade mode, online matches, practice mode, location battles, and more. From world warriors like Ryu and Chun-li, the latest list of Street Fighter V, Luke and our new breakdance expert Jamie, players will have a wide range of fighting styles and skills. We look forward to revealing more about other fighters joining the list of toy characters later this year.
Capcom will have a lot more to reveal about the World Tour and the Battle Hub, which is closer to the release of Street Fighter 6. Now, all we can say is that World Tour is a immersive one-player story mode that transcends boundaries. Is a fighting game and allows players to leave their own legacy with avatars. Battle Hub, which is only shown briefly today, gives players new and unique ways of engaging, communicating and interacting.
