Capcom bets on everything Street Fighter 6, A game that follows the company’s famous fighting games franchise. The focus is on a radical overhaul of the franchise, which has taken a hit with the negative reception of its latest release, Street Fighter V, and, for that, one of the main focus of the developers is the gameplay.

The idea is to like both players who are already fans and have been watching for years, as well as beginner players who are not very familiar with fighting games.

Capcom is preparing two control schemes for players to like: The first will be “classic”, where combinations and special moves will be performed in the same way as in older games – a strict sequence of buttons to move moves like franchises like The King of Fighters or Mortal Kombat.

The second will be “modern”, which is simpler and consists of using only the direction button – from either side – an action button has been added to make special moves – which will make it easier for those who are not familiar with it.

Fighting games are love or hate. There is usually no lag, or the player is very good, or extremely bad – as a journalist writing this story.

The idea of a “modern” control scheme serves to accommodate this audience, which has difficulty learning the complexity of “classic” control in the game. In addition, it opens up the possibility of reaching new audiences who are not a fan of fighting games, as it will be much easier to start the game.

One of the reasons for the change in control is the emergence of fighting games with simpler controls that are likely to reach more players, such as Mortal Kombat 11, which breaks the logic of super-complex control in genre games.

Fighting games do not require a complicated set of controls, as this alienates many players from this genre. Capcom’s efforts are awesome as it can bring in a lot of new players in general fighting games. Street Fighter 6 will be released in 2023 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S and PC.
