Square will re-register the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade brand in Japan

Could this be a new port? Or even the second chapter?

As for the Final Fantasy VII remake, fans most want the second episode of the game. Although nothing has been said about this topic yet, Square Enix registers “Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade” trademark in Japan. The Intergrade edition is the same one that came out first on the PS5 and then on the PC. Registration was done on May 12 and only released yesterday (20).

It’s hard to say what that means exactly, but it seems like another port is coming. Among the platforms that do not have the game, the Xbox and Nintendo Switch consoles (via cloud) can get the Final Fantasy VII Intergrade version … or not.

Game director Tetsuya Nomura has already revealed that more news about Final Fantasy 7 will be released next month. The original game turns 25 and Square Enix celebrates this occasion with an event. The title gets a new mobile game called Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis. In addition, Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier is a service-type game that receives new content with some frequency.

So we can just wait for the developer to submit news about the title remake. Two years have passed since the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake for PS4 and nothing has been mentioned about the second chapter yet.

– Continues after advertising –

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade brought better graphics, higher resolution and frame rate to both the PS5 and PC versions. In addition, an additional story called INTERmission, starring Yuf, is part of the “Remake Remaster”.

The UFO mission, which lasts less than two hours, takes place during the main story events, starring Cloud, Barret, Tifa and Aerith Midgar, the game’s first city. There is a chance that Square will announce more additional missions like this one from Yuffie, but with other characters. Square changed the history of the original game a lot to make it last even longer, so the possibility would not be unrealistic.

I do not know about you, but I am very interested in how the developer will deal with the open world of the game, should limit it, because the title will develop in the form of chapters.
