SpaceX employees have written an open letter condemning the behavior of the company’s CEO, Elon Musk, after allegations of sexual assault against him were recently published.
“Elon’s behavior is a frequent source of distraction and embarrassment for us in the public sphere, especially in recent weeks,” the New York Times wrote in a letter. “As our CEO and most famous speaker, Elon is seen as the face of SpaceX – every tweet Elon sends is a de facto public statement from the company.
The letter came after the billionaire bought Twitter for $ 44 billion. On Thursday, Mr Musk first addressed Twitter employees via video call to explain his vision for the company after the deal was completed, after which he made some reservations.
A SpaceX spokesman did not respond to a request for comment. The Verge first reported on the document.

“Anyone who knows Elon like me knows that he would never have acted and would not have forgiven this alleged misconduct,” he wrote in an email.
It is unknown how many people signed the open letter in SpaceX. The letter outlined several demands, including publicly condemning Elon’s harmful Twitter behavior and providing clear definitions of all types of unacceptable behavior towards the rocket manufacturer.
“It is important to make it clear to our teams and our potential talent fund that its messages do not reflect our activities, our mission or our values,” the letter said.
“SpaceX needs to be quickly and clearly separated from Elon’s personal brand,” he continued.
