Scorn is a dark first-person horror game that focuses on puzzles where players must explore the landscape to understand what is happening around them. The title was developed by Ebb Software Studio and published by Kepler Interactive after a successful crowdfunding campaign on the Kickstarter website that raised €192,487.
Scorn is available for Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store digital stores for R$75.99. The game can also be played on Xbox Game Pass with support for Xbox Cloud Gaming. It’s worth noting that Scorn is rated 18+ for its focus on gore and extreme violence. See below for more information on the game.

Scorn’s narrative approach involves not explaining the game’s story in too much detail, so that users can give their own interpretation to the events and themes presented in the game. Players will control an unknown character – a skinless humanoid creature with body parts and muscles on display – who suddenly wakes up in a strange world with flashes of his memories. For added immersion, all cinematics in the game are in real-time, with no cuts or angles that take away from the protagonist.
The surrounding world acts as a character in itself, inspired by the works of artists such as HR Giger of Switzerland and Zdzislav Beksinski of Poland. It is a biotechnological atmosphere consisting of living machines, corridors of dried meat, and structures built of bones.
At this point the game is very reminiscent of Agony, a game with a similar premise in a grotesque and uncomfortable setting, but in Hell. During gameplay, users will be able to see the character’s hands interacting with the world, sometimes in uncomfortable ways, to make them feel truly immersed in it.

Playing in this isolated and dark world, the player will need to explore dark, interconnected and labyrinthine areas. Each part of the map has puzzles to solve, and users can progress non-linearly as they search for intuitive clues across the landscape to unravel its mysteries.
Through the game, you can learn new skills and acquire weapons to defend yourself. However, it’s worth noting that Scorn is not a shooting game, and that ammo is a scarce resource that needs to be rationed. Some creatures will hunt the hero if given the chance, and decisions must be made about when to encounter them and when to hide to escape.
