R$ 6000 PC GAMER AND BEYOND: BUILDING THE PERFECT GAMING MACHINE!

We select the best set of components per dollar spent

Let’s compile a set of machine recommendations for those who want to play in different budgets, trying to maximize the performance of the system within a certain cost.

Whenever possible, we’ll provide more than one reference, especially for users who already have a brand preference, such as Intel or AMD for a processor, or AMD, Nvidia or… ahem, Intel (?) for a video card.

Our recommendations include only the components of the machine, excluding such elements as peripherals, cabinet, monitor and others. The reason is that budgets and needs vary greatly for these products and it is impossible to keep track of these variations. Here we leave it to the user to decide on this criterion, or even a possible future article.

Some elements will be repeated in all the recommendations, which include the use of two 8GB of memory, which we strongly recommend for a modern gaming machine, as well as an NVMe SSD, which we recommend for your entire life. It doesn’t even have to be a PC game.

Let’s separate the selection into different articles to facilitate organization, separating them according to different price levels:

Budget up to 2500 BRL
Budget up to 4 thousand dollars
Budget up to 5000 BRL
Budget up to BRL 6000 and above

Budget up to BRL 6000 and above

The cost in the region of seven thousand reais is where we started to not only put good pieces to play, but also where we think is the sweet spot for the slot machine. You can get more performance with more expensive parts, obviously, but here we’re in the sweet spot of getting the most for your money, with very advanced components, but also a more balanced use of your money compared to high-end products.

List of components (ideal computer):

– Intel Core i5-12400F – Purchase link (R$1159) / AMD Ryzen 5 5600X – Purchase link (R$1289)
– Motherboard H610 – Purchase Link (R$500) / Motherboard B450 – Purchase Link (R$580)
– 2x8GB DDR4 @3200MHz – Purchase link (2xR$ 199)
– Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti – Purchase Link (R$3000) / AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT – Purchase Link (R$3200)
– SSD M.2 NVMe 512 GB – Purchase link (319 R$)
– 750W power supply – purchase link (R$470)

Total price: 6000 BRL

Now we’re at a price point that makes room for powerful processors like the Core i5-12400F and Ryzen 5 5600X, which are often not far from the best on the market, especially in gaming.

As for the video card, some of the best options on the market come from the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti and the Radeon RX 6700 XT. These cards are good enough for Quad HD and risk 4K in games with AMD FSR or Nvidia DLSS support. They are also promising products for longevity as we have already discussed in this article here.

and beyond? There is the option of working with more powerful parts, but costs can add up quickly. Among the items I’ve been eyeing are Intel’s K-end processors to look for more FPS like the 12600K, or models with more cores and threads like the Ryzen 7 5800X or Core i7-12700F for them. who are about to start their computer. More RAM and VRAM can also be a good choice if you plan to open huge video or 3D projects.

Speaking of increasing VRAM, a more powerful graphics card can be a good choice if you need very high resolutions, such as 4K focus at high quality. There you can get models like the Radeon RX 6900 XT or the GeForce RTX 3080 12 GB for a high-resolution enthusiast machine.

These are our recommendations on the market right now. Keep an eye out for price changes between the time of our research and the time you view this article. To extend our hand, we have two solutions: 1) this is our tool, ECONOMIZE with ADRENALINE, which has a price comparison and automatic coupon search, and 2) below we put a search chart of processors and video cards with evolution. Recently, the prices of video cards and processors have also increased. Thanks again to Edno Silva for his excellent work on PC Build Wizard (@pcbuildwizard), is responsible for the database that serves as the source of this graph. He monitors the market daily and below we show the cheapest card price for a given graphics chip using three major online retailers (KaBuM!, Pichau and Terabyte).
