Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Leaks 11 Days Ahead of Launch

The screenshots reveal details about the new creatures in the games

As with other great games hitting stores in 2022, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet was also the subject of a leak before its release. With 11 days to go before the game hits stores, some copies have already made their way into the hands of people sharing secrets and the identities of the new creatures.

According to VGC, The first screenshots of the leaked copies hit the internet this Monday morning (7). So fans who want to check out the new adventure and know as little as possible about it should keep an eye on social media and sites like YouTube and Twitch to avoid spoilers.

While it’s still unclear who started the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet leaks, The person responsible for the leaked footage plays the game in Spanish. So far, most of the content leaked ahead of time is about some creatures and evolutions that have not been revealed by the Pokemon Company.

Leaks are still limited

Although the leak has so far been limited to isolated sources, The expectation is that more of them will appear soon. With 11 days until the official launch of the titles, Nintendo and the Pokémon Company have to act very actively to eliminate images that have already been shared on the networks.

Knowing that companies will not tolerate spills, Those responsible for it encouraged others to rescue the captives and breed them on their own. Posts in which they are shared will be removed shortly, in a possible attempt to remove DCMAs and other illegal material.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet aren’t the only recent games in the franchise to experience such a situation: in January of this year, Many people started streaming Pokémon Arceus a week before its official release. Games like Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl and Pokemon Sword and Shield It also suffered a security breach, the latter causing Nintendo to cut ties with the Portuguese website responsible for the content leak.
