Need for Speed ”Unbound” will be revealed in the next two weeks, according to an insider

The game is expected to be released on December 2

The last great title in the Need for Speed franchise came out in 2019, and we know it’s not common for a franchise to go this long without a release. According to famous insider Tom Henderson, confirming another rumor from a month ago, Need for Speed ”Unbound” will be revealed in the coming weeks and will be released in December.

Sources at Henderson say the reveal of the game is “imminent” and will take place in the next two weeks. Need for Speed Unbound will be presented in a one-minute and 30-second trailer with a soundtrack by American rapper A$AP Rocky.

The insider says the game will focus on multiplayer and will feature a “date” feature where players will challenge other people in one-on-one races at different locations on the map.

Need for Speed Unbound will feature “unique maps” that are different from the environments the franchise has presented so far. According to the insider, the new game will be exclusive to new generation consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S) in addition to PC.

New Need for Speed will be delayed due to Battlefield 2042

Another rumor published last month suggested that Need for Speed Unbound will arrive later than expected, with a release previously scheduled for November now moving to December, according to journalist/insider Jeff Grubb.

Grubb’s information corroborates that of Tom Henderson, who also says the game is coming in December, specifically on December 2. Jeff Grubb also notes that EA’s new racing game could be announced in a few weeks.

A supposed snippet of the new Need for Speed has leaked online in a three-second video showing the car (which is a 1950s Chevrolet Bellair) flying and crashing into a large circular structure.

Then, the animation shows a skull on top of the car, in addition to wings on the sides, reinforcing previous rumors that the game will have anime elements such as effects.

EA has been busy with Battlefield 2042 since its release almost a year ago, and this will be one of the reasons for the delay in the announcement of Need for Speed ”Unbound”, according to insiders.
