“Mafia 4” is under development, say the programmers

The developers of Hangar 13, owned by 2K, have confirmed that they are working on ‘Mafia 4’, the sequel to the popular Italian-American mafia-inspired game series. Despite the news, fans of the saga should hold on to their seats as the game is still several years away from release.

The confirmation came from Roman Hladik, Hangar 13’s General Manager of Development, during a retrospective of the franchise’s 20th anniversary. “I’m happy to confirm that we’ve started work on a new Mafia project,” he said.

A few months ago there were rumors about a new mafia, including a new graphics engine for the game, which could consist of Unreal Engine 5, the same in games such as eFootball and other games of the next generation of consoles.
