Intel Shows Arc A750 GPU Running on Controls at 1440p at 60 FPS

We are slowly learning what Alchemist GPUs are capable of

Intel has already shown that its Arc A750 graphics card, the second best GPU in the initial Alchemist lineup, will be more powerful than rivals AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060. Now in a new video, The company shows off the GPU in action, running Control 1440p at over 60 FPS.

Intel representatives Tom Peterson and Ryan Schrout demonstrated Remedy’s game running at 1440p at the highest graphics quality, except with the beams turned off. In the screenshot shown by Intel, the control runs very close to 60 FPS.

In another video, Intel shows the same video card running the Death Stranding Director’s Cut at two different resolutions: 2560×1440 and 3440×1440. Only at the first resolution can we see how the GPU works with Hideo Kojima’s game. At the default preset, the Arc A750 delivers between 80 FPS and 100 FPS.

Intel’s focus has been on driver optimization

Control and Death Stranding are two AAA games optimized for Intel Arc boards right now. Intel explained that they are “level three” in terms of optimizing their drivers for specific games. According to the company, the first group provides the best performance at the lowest cost for specific games that use DirectX 12.

Intel confirms the Arc A770 GPU with 16 GB of memory and the A750 with 8 GB

The second group refers to less optimized games that use DX 12 and Vulkan APIs. The third group, as you can imagine, is talking about games made in DX 11 or older versions, where the drivers are not optimized at all.

Currently, only DirectX 12 games are optimized for Intel Arc graphics. Apart from the two titles mentioned here, Cyberpunk 2077, Fortnite, F1 2021 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider are the rest released so far.

Shrout makes it clear that “not every game will be like this at launch.” “We won’t get the same performance in every game, but that’s our goal. We’ll keep optimizing our drivers, improving our software.”

Technical details of the Arc A750 or any other GPU have not yet been revealed, apart from the A380 which has already been released. Intel promises that the initial line of Alchemist graphics cards will be launched at the end of September.
