The character Solas is a kind of ancient elven deception god named Fen’Harel. However, he is a controversial figure and not everyone in the game world agrees with what he really is. The post mentions how Solas is known for using dubious methods to achieve his goals, something Dragon Age: Inquisition players are well aware of. In the previous game, Solas was one of your fighting companions and even an affordable option for romance. Despite his fame, it is unknown whether he intends to save his elves or to betray them.
Story in Dragon Age: Dreadwolf promises to follow a new common hero, without witchcraft or any ancient prophecy. Just a person who wants to change the wrong things in the world and has no power to do so. Some elements of previous games will remain, such as characters that evoke strong emotions and with which players can establish deep relationships. There is even speculation that the material shown in the detection trailer is red lily, a dangerous mineral damaged by dark forces that allows spirits and demons to be detected.

BioWare had previously hinted at Solas’s new game in 2018, after revealing a still untitled game. The hashtag #TheDreadWolfRises appeared at the end of The Game Awards teaser trailer, following Solas’s voice: “So you finally got it. I doubt you have any questions,” an excerpt the company also posted on its Twitter account.
