If there are adults who take time off from work to play video games, why don’t kids enjoy this time outside of school and play their favorite games?
Folhinha listened to 3 children of different ages to talk about it. We asked which consoles they have and which are the most popular games in their homes this July.
The children also answered about the most difficult villains and what they would do if they became millionaires and could buy everything in the game world.
Nina, 13 years old
In this vacation, I travel, I came here to Bahia. I have a few cousins and they all love video games and I brought my Nintendo. I play a lot of Marios: “Mario Kart”, “Mario Bros”, “Mario Odyssey” (with 3D missions), “Mario Party” (which has minigames)… there are a few that I love and find. They’re super nostalgic, you know? And you can play with several people.
For example: “Mario Kart” you can compete with everyone, up to 4 people, “Mario Bros” too. We even almost finished Mario Bros with all this free time because it rains so much here.
I also really like RPGs, but not the “D&D” kind of RPGs, but build your own farm, that kind of thing. I think it’s cool and it calms me down. I play a game called “Stardew Valley” which is really cool. You create your character and go to the pelican village, create your farm and people. He keeps planting and he has some secrets too, very cool.
Sometimes I also play shooting games. I’m not good, but I play because I think it’s cool. The game “Fortnite” and “Stumble Guys” from Epic Games, which is now free. I don’t know if it will be free forever. I didn’t have it for Nintendo and now I have it and I’m very happy.
I also like mobile games. I like Roblox, it’s really childish, but I like it and I play it. I like “Cooking Mamma”, I have a monthly subscription that gives you more enhanced game benefits and that’s it, that’s cooking. I also play FIFA. It doesn’t mean I’m fine, but I’m playing. It’s not as good on Nintendo, but I think it’s cool.
My all time favorite is Mario Odyssey.
If I were a millionaire, I would buy a PS5. And on Nintendo I will buy Mario Gato, whose name I don’t know, me and my brother call Mario Gato. It’s the same story: you have to fight Bowser, always Bowser, he’s unbearable, very hard to beat.
I think vacations aren’t just for games, they’re for fun with friends. But since it’s raining, I play more often. Life is not just about video games. Wow, my mom is talking here!
Enzo, 10 years old
I have a Nintendo Switch.
My favorite games during the holidays were “Super Smash Bros Ultimate”, “Nova 111”, “Ultimate King Horse” and “Crypt of the NecroDancer”. These are adventure games where I can explore a giant map.
I’ll talk about the hardest parts. In “Super Smash Bros Ultimate”, these are the final stages of Classic Mode and Story Mode, and all bosses are very difficult to defeat. “Nova 111” is also in the last stage. Each level in “Ultimate King Horse” has difficulty.
In “Crypt of the NecroDancer” is the final boss of all levels, all dragons. For example, a red dragon and a green dragon have a lot of health. These dragons are fast, deal a lot of fire-breathing damage, and have a lot of health. My trick is this: when they are about to attack me, I jump and attack them.
If I were a millionaire, I would buy the Xbox Series X, PS5, Nintendo Switch Limited Edition, and as a game, I would buy all the DLC for “Super Smash Bros Ultimate” and the game and DLC for “CupHead”. “.
On vacation, I played with my uncle, grandma and grandpa, who was kind of embarrassed because he doesn’t know how to play. I also play some online games but I have few. I played Smash Bros online but stopped because you have to pay.
Thomas, 4 years old
I have a Super Nintendo, an Xbox and also a PlayStation 5. I love video games. Dad likes video games. I love Hot Wheels too.
I like to play Lego Marvel and Sack Boy. I like the mighty, mister, he’s headless and close to mister. They are strong. And here’s the Huck Booster, we have a giant one, it’s really cool. The X-Men part is very difficult, the house is on fire. The villain is a fanatic.
There are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8… 20 villains! Venon looks like an elongated man, he turns into a car, a truck, a miserable thing. There is a person inside it. In Sack Boy, I ran and jumped during the musical phase and I couldn’t make it. There is only a little old lady as the villain.
If I had money, I would buy everything. We try to buy from Mystery. And I was going to buy an orange gaming chair.
