Zelda is undoubtedly the game saga that marked the gaming industry. Nintendo’s exclusive RPG has celebrated generations and inspired countless other games. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of Zelda-like games on PlayStation for you to try on your PS4 and PS5.
It should be noted that the selected titles are not exactly the same as the Nintendo franchise, but they are on the list due to some similar features, such as location and dungeon exploration, hero evolution through quests, and a variety of puzzles.
Five Zelda-like games on PlayStation
Courts of Mana
A Trials of Mana remake is a good bet because of the features of the classic games, such as party management and equipment distribution. Although there are no puzzles, exploring the dungeons makes up for the dynamic and action-packed battles that make the game even easier.
Windbound attracts attention with its more artistic proposal, but takes clear inspiration from Zelda for the evolution of the hero at the end of the dungeons, with items and improvements that serve to advance the quest.
The aerial camera and item collection system are attractive – especially for those looking for Zelda-like games on the PlayStation.
Immortals Fenyx Rising
Ubisoft’s game is the largest on this list. This is because the map has many scattered puzzles, main and secondary dungeons, and several collectible improvements. It’s a giant open world with tons of events.
Immortals Fenyx Rising’s third-person gameplay is more like an action game and the strategy side isn’t Zelda-like, but the title makes the list precisely because of its emphasis on dungeons and puzzles.
The multiplayer phenomenon can’t be missed, as its inspiration is pretty clear – some Zelda fans in China protested developer miHoYo and smashed PS4 units. Although it lacks a narrative focus, Genshin Impact bets on dungeon exploration and the rewards available at the end of expeditions.
Best of all, Genshin Impact is completely free for PS4 and PS5!
door of death
A favorite of the indie community, Death’s Door puts the player in the shoes of a crow who has to deal with his role: to tend souls. The dungeons are unique and the puzzles work perfectly. Additionally, the action combat is similar to the Zelda games themselves.
