confirming the latest rumours, Death Stranding Coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC on Tuesday (23). The game, developed by Hideo Kojima’s company in partnership with Sony, was released as a PlayStation exclusive in 2019 and came to PC earlier this year.

A promotional trailer has been released on the Xbox YouTube account. A curious detail is that the words “Presented by Sony Interactive Entertainment” appear at the beginning. Who knew we’d see a Sony game on Game Pass? Especially since Microsoft is accusing the Japanese of boycotting the service?

The official PC Game Pass Twitter profile also posted a promotional image of a person – believed to be protagonist Sam Bridges – carrying a suitcase with a branded sticker. Check:

On the official blog of 505 Games, the company that distributes Death Stranding On PC (consoles, it’s still Sony), it was explained that the Game Pass version will have the same features as the editions on Steam and the Epic Games Store. These include high frames per second, photo mode, ultra-hard mode, ultra-wide monitor support, and crossover content from other franchises such as half life and Cyberpunk 2077.

Antonella Pounder, Director of Global Community at 505 Games, wrote the following:

Abandoning death has a strong underlying message around community and connections and we can’t wait to take advantage of this opportunity to reach out to more carriers! We are really excited to welcome you to this amazingly active community. You know how much we love a community event here, so we look forward to more of them in the future.”

This can be a good opportunity for PC gamers to test Death Stranding at first. The story follows a parent in a devastated country where humanity lives hidden in bunkers after a mysterious event weakens the barriers between the world of the living and the world of the dead.
