What’s new from Dead Space Remake
Although very similar to the original, EA announced in a press release that the reimagining of the game will have some innovations from the first 2008 title. between them, We will be adding new narrative elements throughout the campaign, but without detailing exactly what they are. In addition, we have:
- Peeling system: Necromorphs, monsters seen before, are rebuilt around a new peeling system that introduces layers of flesh, tendon and bone that shatter, crack and break in shocking new ways. And while strategy is key, players also experience greater scope for creativity in how they use their unique weapons and abilities to battle these formidable foes.
- Director of Intensity: The beautifully crafted and equally addictive world of Dead Space was easy for gamers to get lost in, but now it’s possible to feel the gravity of Isaac’s every mysterious step. The new Intensity Director dynamically adjusts Isaac’s path, from the Necromorphs and how they choose to attack them, to environmental effects such as light, smoke, particles and sound. Isaac’s heart rate, breathing and effort are also adjusted based on his stress level to give players direct feedback on his mental, emotional and physical state.
- Enhanced engineering imagination: With no weapons or support, Isaac is forced to fend off the Necromorphs, use high-tech mining tools to strategically dismantle the nightmarish creatures, solve puzzles on his thrilling journey, and turn Ishimura’s malfunctioning systems into favors. Players will now hear more from the beloved engineer, originally a silent hero, through new narrative enrichment voiced by Gunner Wright, the original voice of Isaac in Dead Space™ 2 (2011) and Dead Space™ 3 (2013).
- Fully interconnected Ishimura: From the start screen to the end credits, players will tackle the terrifyingly narrow and shadowy corridors of the USG Ishimura without a single loading screen or camera cut to break the immersion. This massive mining ship has been rebuilt for the remake with new rooms, routes and obstacles, allowing for seamless exploration with new UI map controls and an improved locator.
