Blizzard explains how Overwatch account merging works; The process starts today

With cross-platform progression enabled, players can combine Overwatch accounts to bring progression and cosmetics into a single Overwatch 2 profile. Starting August 16, all players with a linked console account must identify, select, and verify the accounts that will be merged upon entering the game. Once approved, we’ll prepare your accounts to merge when Overwatch 2 launches.

To play Overwatch 2 on any platform, you’ll need a Battle.net account. Progress from linked console accounts will be saved to your Battle.net account, which will share your in-game cosmetics and progress with linked accounts.

There will be an option to link console accounts, so check which accounts you’re linking before you commit!

We’ve been waiting for a few questions, and we’re here to answer account merging in Overwatch 2.
