Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still a few years away, Insider says

Tom Henderson says the game is “more incomplete” than the build revealed in 2018.

All these years after its announcement, Beyond Good & Evil 2 seems like a legend in the gaming industry, but it is still alive and in development. But insider Tom Henderson says so The Ubisoft game should take even longer to arrive. He received images and videos from a closed test that began last month, and the material shows that the game is still “a few years” away from release.

Henderson says his sources sent him the material under an agreement not to publish it. Also, people who have played it have given their feedback to Insider. “Looking at the content, it’s clear that the game looks much more incomplete than the content shared by Ubisoft in December 2018,” said Tom Henderson.

According to him, this difference in the game between the version presented almost four years ago and in the hands of the people testing it, suggests that the game has undergone a major overhaul. Henderson says that we will be able to create our own character with presets available through the game, and gives examples of characters with the appearance of a shark and a panda.

One of its sources said the game appears to be “years away” from release and also has “no direction.” Another source said he had “no idea” what he was doing when I was playing.

The development team continues to change

Last week it was announced that the game will have a new main author. Sara Arellano has experience with the World of Warcraft and Saints Row series. His entry into the Beyond Good & Evil 2 development team suggests that the game may still be a long way off as its story needs to change.

The Ubisoft title hasn’t released any content since late 2018, after several trailers were revealed following the announcement at E3 2017. Also, at the height of the 2020 pandemic, series creator Michel Ancel said. His retirement from the gaming industry.

In addition to the problems with Beyond Good & Evil 2, Ubisoft has struggled with the development of some new projects. Skull and Bones was one of them until recently, but after a hectic period in the game’s production, it has been confirmed that it will be released on November 8th.
