Battlefield 2042 will get its first season in June

The new update brought several fixes and regime changes

That Battlefield 2042 is not going well is no longer news, but EA and DICE continue to update and fully support the game. Last update (4.1), arrived Various general and weapon and class adjustments, mode changes, and the promise of the first season of the game. The latter arrives in June.

“Soon in our update schedule we will have the release of 1 season, scheduled for early June. We will be back with a full review and patch notes that are closer to the start,” the game’s official blog said.

This first season was supposed to be released earlier this year, but it was postponed so that DICE could work on the issues that have plagued the game since its troubled launch. The first season will bring a new specialist, Battle Pass and more content.

EA says that “the focus of this upgrade is to make more tweaks and improve the quality of life, as well as upgrade Warfare rotations and make some balance changes with weapons and specialists.”

4.1 Major Amendments to the Update

  • The overall capacity of the Boris SG-36 Turret has been reduced
  • The angel will no longer be able to deliver the armor with his supply bag
  • Improved warehouse weapon management with improved base recoil. To compensate, we have reasonably reduced the recoil advantage provided by the accessories.
  • All-Out Warfare playlists have been updated with new settings, the 128-player Rupture has been removed from the list, and more tactical experience is prioritized in the 64-player Rupture.

One of the biggest changes in this update was the adaptation of the number of players in All-out Warfare mode, as EA itself says:

“In this update we are making some changes to the All-out Warfare rotations. Our main change is the removal of the 128-player version of Rupture. In re-evaluating, we felt that the 128-player modes fit better. In Conquest, where there is a larger “Play spaces and more natural compatibility with open world gaming.”

We’ll see if the changes, or even the coming of Season 1 of Battlefield 2042, attract players who have gone to other franchise titles like Battlefield V, which has had 10 times more players lately.
